Introducing Home Phone Call Forward (Standard) 

Home Phone Call Forward (Standard) allows you to divert calls from your home phone number to a different number.



Features and Benefits 

  • No need to miss important calls. Forward calls to wherever you are!
  • Call Forward (Standard) is a diversion allowing incoming calls to be forwarded to selected numbers
  • Call Forward (Standard) will divert your calls to almost any other number in Australia.
  • Forward your calls to another number immediately, when you are busy or when you don’t answer the phone.


Activating this Service 

  • Call Forward (Standard) is automatically added to your home phone service, however you may also need to activate this function via your home phone. See 'Using this Service' section for details.
  • You can request suppression on this service.


Using this Service 

Call Forward (Immediate) – Forward all incoming calls  

To forward all incoming calls immediately

  • Lift the receiver
  • Dial * 21, followed by the area code and phone number
  • Press #
  • Listen to the announcement confirming the service is on
  • Replace the receiver.
To turn off Call Forward Immediate

  • Lift the receiver
  • Dial # 21 #
  • Listen to the announcement confirming the service is off
  • Replace the receiver.
To check if Call Forward Immediate is on or off

  • Lift the receiver
  • Dial * # 21 #
  • Listen to the announcement confirming the status
  • Replace the receiver.
Call Forward (Busy)  

To forward number when the phone line is busy

  • Lift the receiver
  • Dial * 24, followed by the area code and phone number
  • Listen to the announcement confirming the service is on
  • Press #
  • Replace the receiver
To turn Call Forward Busy off

  • Lift the receiver
  • Dial # 24 #
  • Listen to the announcement confirming the service is off
  • Replace the receiver.
To check if Call Forward Busy is on or off

  • Lift the receiver
  • Dial * # 24 #
  • Listen to the announcement confirming the status
  • Replace the receiver.
Call Forward No Answer (Forward unanswered calls)  

To forward number when there is no answer (default time)

  • Lift the receiver
  • Dial * 61, followed by the area code and phone number
  • Press #
  • Listen to the announcement confirming the service is on
  • Replace the receiver.
To change the delay before forwarding when there is no answer

  • Lift the receiver
  • Dial * 61, followed by the area code, phone number and *
  • Enter the duration (in 5 second increments)
  • Press #
  • Replace the receiver.
To turn Call Forward No Answer off

  • Lift the receiver
  • Dial # 61 #
  • Replace the receiver.
To check if Call Forward No Answer is on or off

  • Lift the receiver
  • Press * # 61#
  • Listen to the announcement confirming the service is off
  • Replace the receiver.


Costs of Using this Service 

Call Forward Standard is free of charge for customers with a home phone account.

  • Normal call charges will apply to calls forwarded using this service. Please refer to your call plan details as charges may vary.

Can I have Call Forward on my mobile service?

  • Yes, a Call Forward service is available for mobile services. Please refer to Diversion Settings in your mobile manual.

Does Call Waiting work with Call Forward?

  • No, you will not hear the call waiting tone while using Call Forward.

Are there other Call Forward services?

  • Yes, Call Forward Selected Callers and Call Forward Set The Time are also available. For more information, please call us on our Customer Care number.

Can I use more than one Call Forward feature at once?

  • Yes, although some features have a higher priority and override others.
    • Call Forward Selected Callers overrides all other Call Forward features
    • Call Forward Immediate overrides Call Forward Set The Time; Call Forward Busy; Call Forward No Answer
    • Call Forward Set The Time overrides Call Forward Busy and Call Forward No Answer.
