Introducing Multiple Number 

Multiple Number allows you to have a second phone number attached to your existing home phone line.



Features and Benefits  

Multiple Number allows you to have a second phone number attached to your existing phone line.

  • You can now have one phone number for business and another for private, connected to the same home phone service!
  • Different ringtones for each number lets you know which number the incoming call is for.
  • Call Forward service can be used with each number independently.
  • Call Forward and Call Control can be accessed on the second number via Remote Access.
  • An override prefix allows you to make outgoing calls from the second number.
  • Calls made using the override prefix will be billed to the second number.


Activating this Service 

To activate Multiple Number service on your home phone, please visit the ‘Contact Us’ section of our website or call our Customer Care number. This service may take up to 48 hours to activate.



Using this Service 

Multiple Number is an enhanced service that can be used on your home phone. However, Multiple Number requires a phone with distinctive ring capability to allow you to distinguish incoming calls for each number.


Charging a call to the second number  

  • Wait for dial tone
  • Press * 11 * 2 # (the override prefix)
  • Wait for dial tone
  • Enter the phone number you want to call.
  • Hang up.

Using Call Return, Call Forwarding or Call Control on your second number  

  • Press * 11 * 2 # before the required command sequence.
  • For example, to use Call Return:
    • Press *11*2#
    • Wait for dial tone
    • Press * 10 # (the command sequence for Call Return).


Disconnecting Multiple Number  

To have Multiple Number disconnected, please call our Customer Care number.



Costs of Using this Service 

This service has a monthly charge. For current charges, please use the ‘Contact Us’ section of our website or call our Customer Care number. Normal call charges apply to calls made using the primary voice number. Please refer to your call plan details as charges may vary.

Higher call costs apply to calls made using the override prefix. Please refer to the Soul Phone Fax and Multi-Number plan for call charges.



Viewing Multiple Number service charges on your Bill 

Your Multiple Number monthly service charge is shown under ‘Charges this bill’. Each number is shown as a separate service on your bill. All calls made using the override prefix will be billed to the second number.

Does Calling Number Display still work if I have Multiple Number activated?

  • Yes. Calling Number Display will work, but you will not be able to tell which number the call is for.

Can I choose the second number?

  • No, we cannot guarantee phone numbers.

What is the override prefix?

  • The override prefix is * 11 * 2 #.

Can I use a number billed to another service provider as my second number?

  • No, both numbers must be from us.

Can each number be billed to a separate account?

  • No, both numbers will appear on the same bill.

Do I pay a monthly rental for each number?

  • Yes, this service has a monthly charge. For current charges, please use the ‘Contact Us’ section of our website or call our Customer Care number.

What is Remote Access?

  • Remote Access allows you to turn phone services, such as Call Forward, on or off from a remote location. See the Remote Access factsheet for further information.

Can I use Smart Ring with Multiple Number?

  • No. Smart Ring is not compatible with Soul Phone Fax or Multiple Number.
