Introducing Delayed Hotline 

Delayed Hotline allows you to call a pre-selected phone number without dialling from your home phone. The selected number is automatically dialled if no action is taken within 4 seconds of picking up the phone.



Features and Benefits 

Delayed Hotline allows you to call a particular phone number without dialling. The selected number is dialled just by picking up your phone and waiting for 4 seconds!

  • Arrange for your most frequently dialled number to be dial free!
  • Use Delayed Hotline to contact a particular person in case of an emergency!


Activating this Service 

To activate your Delayed Hotline service, please visit the ‘Contact Us’ section of our website or call our Customer Care number. The activation of Delayed Hotline can take up to 48 hours.



Using this Service 

Delayed Hotline is an optional enhanced feature that can be added to your existing home phone service.

Once activated, the Delayed Hotline service is easy to use by following the instructions below.


Turning on Delayed Hotline  

  • Wait for dial tone.
  • Press *53.
  • Enter the number you would like to store and press #.
  • Hang up.

Turning off Delayed Hotline  

  • Wait for dial tone.
  • Press # 53 #.
  • Listen to announcement confirming service is off.
  • Hang up.

To check if Delayed Hotline is on or off  

  • Wait for dial tone.
  • Press * # 53.
  • Listen to the announcement confirming service is on.
  • Hang up.


Costs of Using this Service 

This service has a monthly charge. For current charges, please use the ‘Contact Us’ section of our website or call our Customer Care number. Calls made to Delayed Hotline numbers are charged at the applicable call rates (whether local, mobile or national). Please refer to your call plan details as charges may vary.


Viewing Delayed Hotline service charges on your bill  

Your Delayed Hotline service monthly charge is shown as a service charge, along with your line rental for your home phone service.

Is Delayed Hotline restricted by Call Control on my home phone service?

  • No, you can set up Delayed Hotline on almost any phone number, regardless of your Call Control settings. For example, if you have Call Control set up to restrict all mobile phone calls, you can still select a mobile number as your Delayed Hotline. All other mobile numbers will remain restricted by the Call Control service.

Can I use Delayed Hotline to call an overseas phone number?

  • No, you cannot.

Can I use Delayed Hotline to call a mobile phone number?

  • Yes, you can.

Can I select 000 to be my Delayed Hotline number?

  • No, you cannot opt for the emergency number as it may be dialled by accident on Delayed Hotline.
