Troubleshooting Tips

Here are some frequently asked questions about the Calling Number Display service. For further assistance please use the ‘Contact Us’ section of our website, or call our Customer Care number.

Why does ‘private’ appear on my Calling Number Display?

  • In some cases a caller’s number may not be shown, and the word ‘private’ may be displayed in its place. This is because the caller has either:
    • Blocked their number (some businesses do this for privacy reasons).
    • Has a silent number.
    • Has their home phone number with a service provider that does not support Calling Number Display.

Why does ‘unavailable’ appear on my Calling Number Display?

  • The caller may be overseas or calling from a payphone.
